Mornington Glory (Shalaa x Crowned Glory) kicked off the season with a win in the Listed Carlyon Stakes, while Pinstriped (Street Boss x Snitzel Blitz) captured his first Group 1 victory in the Memsie Stakes. Quintessa (Shamus Award x Chaquinta) added to the tally with a commanding win in the G3 Cockram Stakes.

Pinstriped (Street Boss x Snitzel Blitz)
Victorian-bred and -sired Pinstriped (Street Boss x Snitzel Blitz) defied expectations to claim his first Group 1 victory in the Memsie S. at Caulfield. Ridden by regular jockey Ben Allen, the Enver Jusufovic-trained six-year-old surged past the favored Mr Brightside in a thrilling finish. Bred by Noorilim Park Thoroughbreds, Pinstriped was a $80,000 purchase from the 2019 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale. He has now won seven races, including the G2 John F Feehan S. and G3 CS Hayes S. His Memsie triumph adds to Street Boss's impressive record as a sire of nine Group 1 winners. Street Boss is standing at Darley Northwood Park this season for $66,000 (in. GST).

Quintessa (Shamus Award x Chaquinta)
Te Akau Racing’s Quintessa (Shamus Award x Chaquinta) delivered a strong finish to win the G3 Cockram S. at Caulfield, marking her first Australian victory. Ridden by Daniel Stackhouse, the four-year-old mare outclassed Extratwo and La Danseuse Rouge. Purchased for NZ$170,000 from the 2022 NZB Karaka Sale, Quintessa has now secured five wins, including the G1 Levin Classic and G3 Gold Trail S with her sights set on the G1 Empire Rose S. during Cup week. Shamus Award is standing at Rosemont Stud for a fee of $38,500 (inc GST).

Mornington Glory (Shalaa (IRE) x Crowned Glory)
Mornington Glory (ex Crowned Glory) started his campaign with a dominant Moonee Valley win on 10 August, before capturing a thrilling victory in the Listed Carlyon S. for Gavin Bedggood two weeks later. The six-year-old gelding is by Shalaa, who stands his second season at Woodside Park Stud for $19,800 (inc GST) in 2024. He has sired 17 stakes winners, including eight at Group level. Mornington Glory ran gallant third in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate last preparation, and with six career wins, he has accumulated $539,600 in career earnings.
